Duntov C1 Corvette Restorations and Resto-Rods
In January 2012, Tony Parella decided to sell his collection of C1 Corvettes and chose Duntov Motor Company to prepare the cars mechanically and esthetically for sale. Tony owned one example of all 10 C1’s, from 1953 to 1962. The sale was a big success, and led to Duntov building its own C1, a 1960 model powered by a 505 HP LS7, with a Tremec 6-speed transmission.
For this car, we built a custom frame designed around the Corvette C4 suspension, steering and brakes. The interior was basically stock, with the exception of deeper seats, a smaller steering wheel and modern gauges that we fit into the original bezels.
Duntov is now prepared to accept orders for Duntov Resto-Rods, beginning with serial number DRR-002. Of course these cars start with a donor car, so the original GM title will remain the same. However, that is about all that remains the same with this fantastic car! You can order yours with any GM engine, but the latest LS series aluminum block engines are hard to beat.
